This Event has a Risk Management Plan and a Serious Incident Management Plan, (SIMP). Members of the organising committee and appropriately qualified experts make up the Serious Incident Management Team, (SIMT).

CHILD SAFEGUARDING
The Equestrian Victoria Petstock Interschool State Championships are run under the EA Child Safeguarding Policy, 17th December 2021. Details are clearly outlined in the event schedule and relevant information for compliance will be collected through the online entry system. Throughout the Event Schedule, there are a number of links to Equestrian Australia and Equestrian Victoria Policies and Rules.
MEDICAL RESPONSE
First Aid and Medical Response will be supplied by Race Day Medical, a professional sports’ first aid provider. Medical personnel, with industry-standard equipment, will be on-site. There will be at least one paramedic, with a vehicle fitted with resuscitation equipment, and two first aid stations. Medical provider personnel will be briefed on the policies and procedures relevant to riders 18 and under and any severe medical alerts competitors, or those attending, have provided on entry to the competition.
